Frequently asked questions

The most common questions, answered straight.

Codes and permanence

Can a QR code I printed ever stop working?

No. The short code is generated once and never changes; it is locked at the database level. Codes cannot be deleted either — a delete request becomes an archive and the short code stays permanently reserved for you, never reassigned.

Can I change the destination later?

For dynamic codes, yes, as often as you like. The code image and the address inside it stay identical; only where it leads changes. The change takes effect everywhere within seconds.

What is the difference between static and dynamic codes?

A static code embeds the data directly (a Wi-Fi password, a phone number). It depends on no server but can never be changed. A dynamic code points at our address and forwards to your destination, which you can edit later.

Do codes made on the free plan die later?

Codes never die. When your scan limit is reached the redirect pauses and scanners see a branded notice page. The moment you upgrade, the same codes work again. You never need to reprint.

Printing and readability

How small can a code be printed?

The readability indicator in the editor tells you the smallest safe print size in millimetres for your code's module count. Rule of thumb: one tenth of the reading distance. For a code read from 25 cm, 2.5–3 cm is usually enough.

Does adding a logo break the code?

The editor compares the area the logo covers with the code's error-correction capacity and warns you when you exceed the safe threshold. Every module shape, eye frame and template we ship is tested with a real QR decoder — an unreadable design never makes the list.

Which file format should I send to print?

PDF (true vector) or SVG for print. The PDF also carries a print size and reading distance note. PNG is fine for screens and social media.

Is the space around the code required?

Yes. That margin is called the quiet zone, it is part of the standard, and it must be at least 4 modules wide. Codes cropped for design reasons fail in the field.

Limits and plans

How are scans counted?

Only real human scans count. Link previews from apps like WhatsApp and Slack, search engine crawlers and prefetch requests are filtered out. Repeat scans by the same person count once as a unique visitor but still add to the total.

What happens when the limit is reached?

The redirect pauses and scanners see a branded page saying the code is temporarily unavailable. Your destination URL is not shown there. Upgrading brings the code back instantly.

What happens to my codes if I cancel?

Codes and their short addresses stay. Free plan limits apply; scans beyond the limit show the notice page. No code is deleted and your short code is never given to anyone else.

Payment and invoicing

How can I pay?

Currently by bank transfer. When you place an order you see the IBAN and your order number; after you upload the receipt the payment is checked and your plan activates. Card payment infrastructure is being set up.

Can I get an invoice?

Yes. You enter individual or corporate billing details during checkout and the invoice is emailed to you. Prices include VAT, and the checkout screen shows the net amount and VAT separately.

Do I have a right of withdrawal?

For digital services the service begins immediately after payment, so under Turkish distance selling rules (art. 15/1-ğ) the right of withdrawal cannot be exercised. That is why we must ask this explicitly in a separate checkbox at checkout. Without that consent the order cannot be completed.

Privacy and data

Do you collect data about people who scan my code?

Raw IP addresses are not stored; a salted hash is used to distinguish unique visitors. Aggregated information such as country, city, device type, operating system and browser is kept for statistics. No location permission is requested.

Can I add a retargeting pixel?

Yes — Meta, Google Analytics 4, Google Ads, TikTok, LinkedIn and Pinterest. But the person scanning is a third party, not your customer, so under Turkish data protection law we show them a one-time consent question before redirecting. If they decline they still reach the destination; the code is not broken. With no pixel configured there is no extra step at all.

I want my data deleted — what do I do?

Fill in the data subject request form. Your request is handled free of charge within 30 days at the latest. Your account is anonymised; commercial ledger and invoice records are retained as tax law requires, but your identifying details are masked.
