This English text is provided for information only. In the event of any inconsistency, the Turkish version prevails.

This policy exists to prevent misuse of qrkarekod.com and forms an integral part of the Terms of Service.

A QR code does not reveal its destination in advance. People scanning it do not know where they will end up. Protecting that trust is a core responsibility, which is why these rules exist.

1. Prohibited uses

Fraud and phishing — impersonating banks, public authorities, couriers or any organisation to collect credentials, passwords or card details; directing to fake payment pages; collecting information under the pretence of fake campaigns or prizes; producing codes intended to be pasted over genuine QR codes in public places.

Malware — directing to addresses hosting viruses, trojans, ransomware or spyware, or to pages that download files without consent.

Unlawful content — child sexual abuse material of any kind; terrorist financing or propaganda; trade in drugs, weapons or people; content relating to the catalogue offences listed in article 8 of Turkish Law No. 5651; illegal gambling.

Infringement of rights — copyright, trademark or patent infringement; defamation and insult; violation of privacy or publication of images without consent.

Hate and violence — hate speech on the basis of race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability or similar characteristics; incitement to or glorification of violence; harassment, bullying and threats.

Deceptive use — misleading people about who owns the code; creating codes using someone else's brand, logo or identity; changing a code's destination with intent to deceive.

Note: Changing a destination later is a normal, legitimate feature (updating a campaign, changing a menu). What is prohibited is deliberately using it to deceive — for instance showing a harmless page during review and a harmful one afterwards.

Technical abuse — creating excessive load with automated tools, attempting to bypass security measures, attempting to access other users' codes, or using the service to distribute spam.

Google policy violations — review gating, where customers likely to leave a low rating are filtered out and only satisfied ones are sent to Google, is neither offered nor permitted. It breaches Google's policies and misleads consumers.

2. Monitoring

Every new destination is automatically checked against Google Safe Browsing when saved. Suspicious destinations trigger a warning interstitial before the redirect. We do not systematically scan content; we act on reports and automated check results.

3. Reporting and enforcement

Report violations at qrkarekod.com/kotuye-kullanim — the short code is enough. Where a report is upheld, the code is disabled and scanners see a safety notice, the owner is notified and given a right of appeal, repeated or serious violations lead to account closure, and criminal matters are referred to the competent authorities.

Immediate action: phishing, malware and child sexual abuse content result in the code being disabled at once, without prior notice.

Appeals: if you believe your code was disabled unfairly, write to destek@qrkarekod.com. Appeals are reviewed within 5 business days.

4. Intermediary status

qrkarekod.com is an intermediary service provider under Turkish Law No. 6563 and a hosting provider under Law No. 5651. We are not obliged to review user-generated content before publication, but we are obliged to remove content once unlawfulness is notified to us.
