Create a location QR code
Describing an address invites misunderstanding. A location code carries latitude and longitude; the phone opens the map at that point and directions are one tap away. It earns its place on invitations, event posters and shop windows.

Content
Shown in your dashboard. Does not affect the code itself.
Design
A transparent background is only safe if you print on light stock.

- Inside the code
- qrkarekod.com/r/••••••••
This code carries one of our short addresses, and that address is only reserved for you once you save.
How to do it
- 1
Enter the coordinates
Find the venue on a map and copy the latitude and longitude. A point at the door beats the centre of the building.
- 2
Add a name and address
Write the business name and full address so people know what they are looking at.
- 3
Download and place it
Invitations, posters, windows. On event posters, a frame reading "DIRECTIONS" lifts scan rates.
Which map opens?
The phone's default map app — Apple Maps on iPhone, usually Google Maps on Android. To force a particular app, encode that app's link with the Website type instead.
Frequently asked
- Coordinates instead of an address?
- Coordinates are exact. Written addresses get interpreted differently by different map apps.
- Does it need internet?
- A static location code opens the map offline; directions need a connection.
- I have several branches
- Make one code per branch, or use smart routing to send people to the nearest one.
