How to do it

    Build the product page

    Name, description, images, specifications and a purchase link.

  2. 2

    Design for the packaging

    On a small label choose high error correction and a simple module shape. Ink spread in print rules out delicate shapes.

  3. 3

    Export vector for the printer

    PDF or SVG. Print one at actual size and scan it with a phone before signing off.

GS1 and Sunrise 2027

There is a separate type for GS1 Digital Link, the standard set to replace the barcode in retail: it encodes GTIN, batch and serial in the mandated order. If your packaging will enter retail chains after 2027, choose the GS1 type.

Can I change the code on the packaging later?
Not the code — the destination. The printed code stays identical for life.
How small can it be printed?
Staying above 20 mm is safe. Test before sending to print.
Does it replace the barcode?
A plain QR does not; the GS1 Digital Link type is built for that.
